What this does

Adds Spanish (es) as a locale of docs.comfy.org, starting with the entire Getting started tab (28 pages) and the snippets those pages use.

This is a draft: the locale ships incrementally, one tab at a time, on this branch. Spanish had no infrastructure in this repo before (only zh ja ko were configured), so this PR carries both the pipeline changes and the first translated slice.

Pipeline changes

File Change
.github/scripts/i18n/translation-config.json es language entry (dir: es, snippets_dir: snippets/es)
.github/scripts/i18n/translate-i18n.ts Spanish instruction block: neutral Latin American Spanish, informal tú, terminology mirrored from the frontend es locale (flujo de trabajo, nodo), headings ## Esquema / ### Entrada / ### Salida, inverted ¿¡
.github/scripts/i18n/check-structure-parity.ts LOCALES includes es
.github/scripts/check-anchors.py es treated as a translation directory
.github/scripts/i18n/glossary/frontend/es.json generated by pnpm glossary:sync (3162 terms mirrored from ComfyUI_frontend/src/locales/es)
.github/scripts/i18n/staged-locale-maintenance.py new: two subcommands used while a locale is partial (see below)

Why a new maintenance script

translate-i18n.ts localizes every internal link to /es/..., so a partially translated locale produces links to pages that do not exist yet: mint broken-links fails and readers hit 404s. staged-locale-maintenance.py closes that gap and is idempotent, so it runs after every batch:

  • relink-links --lang es: a link whose localized target exists keeps /es/; a link whose target is not translated yet falls back to the English path (and is re-localized automatically once that page lands).
  • prune-nav --lang es: drops nav tabs/groups that have no pages yet (and the OpenAPI groups, which have no localized API reference). Without it the es sidebar shows empty tabs, because sync-docs-json.mjs mirrors the full English tab list.

docs.json therefore lists only the 28 pages that exist today; bun .github/scripts/i18n/translate-i18n.ts --sync-docs-json --lang es grows it as pages land.

Verification

  • bun .github/scripts/i18n/check-structure-parity.ts --base=origin/main → Structure parity: OK (28 files)
  • ANCHOR_CHECK_BASE=origin/main python3 .github/scripts/check-anchors.py --only-changed → all anchors OK
  • python3 .github/scripts/validate-links.py --check → all passed
  • mint broken-links → no new broken links (the 6 remaining are pre-existing: zh/ja/ko still point at built-in-nodes/ClipTextEncodeFLUX / ModelSamplingFLUX, which are ...Flux on disk)
  • node .github/scripts/i18n/check-i18n-sync.mjs <base> <head> → "No English MDX files changed outside translation directories"
  • content parity (verify_content_parity.py, all 28 pages): identifiers, code blocks and heading counts match English
  • frontmatter: every page has localized title / description plus translationSourceHash / translationFrom

This PR also carries the i18n-scripts-test fix from #2071 (absorbed, that PR is closed): the two translate-router-pricing.test.ts fixtures assumed ja/.../ideogram/ideogram-4-5/code.mdx was untranslated, which stopped being true, so the job was red on main.

The snippet layer is complete: 61 of 61 English snippets have an es counterpart. Eleven small install snippets (conda, pip-install, nvidia-install, amd-install, mac-silicon-install, add-external-models, mirror-links, comfy-cli/generate-*) are rejected by the snippet translator (code-only bodies), so they are hand-translated against the English source with hashes synced by translate:sync-hash --snippets.

Rollout plan (later commits on this branch)

  1. This PR: Getting started (28 pages) + infrastructure.
  2. Tutorials tab (253), Support (20), Agent tools (8), Custom nodes + Developer pages (62), Comfy Router (241).
  3. built-in-nodes (1093 pages) come from Comfy-Org/embedded-docs, which already generates es; they arrive through the node-docs sync rather than in-repo translation.
  4. Once coverage is high: add es to validate-links.py LOCALES, add it to the Router pricing locale lists (translate-router-pricing.ts, gen-router-pricing.ts, router-pricing-display.ts), translate the remaining nav labels, and update the zh/ja/ko wording in AGENTS.md.

Known gap while partial: validate-links.py does not enforce the "localized docs must not use English links" rule for es yet, because untranslated targets legitimately fall back to English. That rule turns on in step 4.

Review follow-ups

Fixes from the code review, all on this branch:

  • Desktop install pages imported the English desktop/migrate and desktop/update snippets while the Spanish copies sat unused → now import /snippets/es/....
  • snippets/es/install/maintenance-page.mdx had shipped as an English dump with a Spanish: divider and leaked QA notes → rebuilt from the English source.
  • Product UI labels stay verbatim in English now (Manager Security Level, Strict/Standard/Relaxed/Permissive, Install All, Snapshots tab, Legacy Desktop, Build), with Spanish prose around them, matching zh/ja — readers have to match the label on screen.
  • Two mistranslations fixed: the agent-skills snippet said the skills were "included in" Claude Code instead of installed into it, and the troubleshooting-feedback heading read as "feedback's install failure".
  • staged-locale-maintenance.py: relink-links no longer rewrites links inside code fences or inline code; prune-nav only drops openapi blocks for locales without /<lang>/api-reference (unconditionally it would have deleted the working zh API Reference tab); --other-locales now includes es. Covered by a new bun test.
  • The fixed is 固定 / 链接 vs 连线 terminology rule in translate-i18n.ts was reached by every language; it is zh-only now.

Known gaps carried over from the plan above: es is still absent from validate-links.py LOCALES (so /es/ internal links are only covered by mint broken-links), and 47 of the 61 snippets/es files are for tabs that land later.

Comment @coderabbitai help to get the list of available commands.

Adds es to the translation pipeline (translation-config.json, structure
parity, anchor check, glossary mirror) together with the first translated
slice: the whole Getting started tab (28 pages) and the snippets they use.

The locale ships incrementally, so docs.json only lists the pages that
exist (sync-docs-json prunes the rest) and links to pages that are not
translated yet fall back to English via
staged-locale-maintenance.py relink-links.

…d pages

linux, manual_install, manager/configuration and manager/troubleshooting
changed on main; the retranslation left the new sections, plus two
sections the first pass had silently skipped (Common issues / Network
issues), in English. Translate them, refresh the block hashes and relink
the anchors that moved.
…tion state

The two fallback tests asserted that ja/development/comfy-router/models/
ideogram/ideogram-4-5/code is untranslated. That page has since been
translated, so keepLinksInsideLocale returns the identity and both tests
fail on main. Use a model slug that is not in the tree, so a future
translation sync cannot invert the expectation again.
…pts-test fix

The snippet phase rejects eleven small install snippets (code-only bodies and
a fence with no language tag); translate them by hand against the English
source, sync their hashes, and re-localize the imports they now satisfy.

Also carries the test-fixture fix from Comfy-Org#2071 so i18n-scripts-test is green
in this PR.

Recognize code spans after an escaped backslash.

If two backslashes precede an opening backtick, Markdown treats the backtick as a code-span delimiter. This check skips it because it examines only the adjacent character. relink-links can then change a link inside the code span, contrary to its byte-for-byte preservation rule. Count consecutive preceding backslashes and skip the backtick only when that count is odd. Add a test with a localized target and two backslashes before the span. (spec.commonmark.org)

Specify which snapshots have a 200-item limit.

Line 23 says the installation keeps up to 200 automatic snapshots. The limit applies only to unlabeled Boot and Manager snapshots. Automatic update and restore snapshots are not pruned under that limit. Narrow this statement so readers can estimate retained disk use correctly. The retention explanation at Line 92 also needs correction: “sin etiqueta de tipo Inicio y Administrador” describes snapshots without those types, not unlabeled snapshots of those types. Sin etiqueta no significa sin tipo. (github.com)

Verify ZIP installations without requiring Manager.

If a user chooses ZIP because Manager is unavailable, this step cannot confirm the installation. Tell users to check the ComfyUI startup log for import failed and confirm that the node loads. This keeps the ZIP method usable without Manager.

Document the Personal cloud trust exception.

The Spanish text says that this mode is only for a machine the user controls, but it does not state the security consequence. When --listen is enabled, Personal cloud treats the machine as a trusted remote box and lifts the node-pack installation block. Add this explanation. The warning needs its why, not only its where.

Based on learnings, this page must describe both the controlled-machine restriction and the --listen exception.

Document the incompatible startup flags.

If Startup Arguments already contains --enable-manager-legacy-ui, adding --disable-manager-ui creates the mutually exclusive combination and can prevent ComfyUI from starting with the documented configuration. Tell users to remove --enable-manager-legacy-ui before adding --disable-manager-ui.

# ComfyUI-Manager V3.38: Userdata Security Migration Guide

## Introduction

ComfyUI-Manager V3.38 introduces a security patch that migrates Manager&#39;s configuration and data to a protected system path. This change leverages ComfyUI&#39;s new System User Protection API (PR #10966) to provide enhanced security isolation.

This guide explains what happens during the migration and how to handle various situations.

* * *

## What Changed

### Finding Your Paths

When ComfyUI starts, it displays the full paths in the terminal:

    `** User directory: /path/to/ComfyUI/user
    ** ComfyUI-Manager config path: /path/to/ComfyUI/user/__manager/config.ini
    `

Look for these lines in your startup log to find the exact location on your system. In this guide, paths are shown relative to the `user` directory.

### Path Migration

Data | Legacy Path | New Path
--- | --- | ---
Configuration  | `user/default/ComfyUI-Manager/`  | `user/__manager/`
Snapshots  | `user/default/ComfyUI-Manager/snapshots/`  | `user/__manager/snapshots/`

    `----------------------------------------------------------------------
    [ComfyUI-Manager] NOTICE: Legacy backup exists
      - Your old Manager data was backed up to:
          /path/to/ComfyUI/user/__manager/.legacy-manager-backup
      - Please verify and remove it when no longer needed.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    `

To stop this notification: Delete the `.legacy-manager-backup` folder inside `user/__manager/` after confirming you don&#39;t need any data from it.

* * *

## Recovering Old Data

### Snapshots

If you need your old snapshots, copy the contents of `.legacy-manager-backup/snapshots/` to `user/__manager/snapshots/`.

* * *

## Outdated ComfyUI Warning

If you&#39;re running an older version of ComfyUI without the System User Protection API, Manager will:

  1. Force security level to `strong` - All installations are blocked
  2. Display warning message:

    `!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    [ComfyUI-Manager] ERROR: ComfyUI version is outdated!
For safety, manually verify the contents of this directory before updating ComfyUI.

* * *

## Troubleshooting

### All my installations are blocked

Check 1: Is your ComfyUI updated?

  * Old ComfyUI forces `security_level = strong`
  * Update ComfyUI to resolve

Check 2: What&#39;s your security level?

  * Check `user/__manager/config.ini`
  * `security_level = strong` blocks all installations

### My snapshots are missing

Snapshots are not automatically migrated. You need to manually copy the `snapshots` folder from inside `.legacy-manager-backup` to the `user/__manager/` directory.

### I keep seeing the backup notification

Delete the `.legacy-manager-backup` folder inside `user/__manager/` after confirming you don&#39;t need any data from it.

### Snapshot restore is blocked

On old ComfyUI (without System User API), snapshot restore is blocked because security is forced to `strong`. Update ComfyUI to enable snapshot restore.

Update the snapshot storage-path description in the legacy UI guide to
distinguish ComfyUI v0.3.76 and later using the system-user API from earlier
versions. Document the current path as <USER_DIRECTORY>/__manager/snapshots and
retain <USER_DIRECTORY>/default/ComfyUI-Manager/snapshots for earlier versions.

* i18n(es): polish machine-translated Getting Started prose

Spanish landed early via #2070; this pass softens 机翻 flavor on the
shipped es/ Getting Started / install / manager pages without expanding
the locale.

- Naturalize awkward calques on es/index, get_started/*, system
  requirements, Portable, update guide, Manager overview/install
- Keep English UI control names (Load Checkpoint, Run, Feedback,
  Save Image, Download, Export, Snapshots) per ComfyUI UI term policy
- Fix FAQ gender agreement (opción recomendada)

* i18n(es): add missing Custom nodes h3 on cloud.mdx for structure-parity

English get_started/cloud.mdx has three ### headings; Spanish was missing
the Custom nodes on Comfy Cloud section between the cloud-vs-local table
and Pricing. Add Nodos personalizados en Comfy Cloud so structure-parity
passes. Keep Feedback as ## (matching EN); do not demote it to ###.
