This is exactly the direction I was hoping for!

The "Edge Puzzle Connector" works perfectly and does exactly what I had in mind.

The remaining issues seem to be with the "Intersection Puzzle Connector." I'm seeing cases where it generates male connectors where there should be female connectors (and vice versa), so some of the pieces won't mate correctly.

But overall, yes, this is exactly the feature I was looking for. Thanks for implementing it so quickly!
