Robin Edward Ellis

  • I am a highly experienced developer (retired) and began in the 8-bit home computer days.

  • I love using Java for backend work and appreciate logging, metrics and good monitoring (Prometheus, Alert Manager, Grafana). Kibana is good but Splunk is still The Don.

  • I have a lot of frontend experience but admit I prefer the server-side work.

  • I build small personal apps to maximise my time playing EVE Online.

  • I have family that is more important to me than all of the above.
