ApprovabilityVerdict: Needs Human Approval Macroscope's review found this PR requires human approval — This PR introduces inline audio and shared playback coordination across existing mobile media and voice-recording flows, along with new file-opening and table-preview behavior. It includes cross-platform native dependency patches and changes existing product defaults, so the broad runtime surface warrants human review. You can add or adjust custom eligibility rules. - Around line 90-117: Rewrite the toggle handler in the ThreadInlineFilePreview
component as a promise chain, removing its try/finally and throw constructs to
avoid React Compiler bailouts. Preserve the active, playRequested, and AppState
guards, along with the existing error, loading, and opening state resets; keep
the handler wired to onPress.

positions, such as file paths followed by a line number, bypass document preview
interception and continue to the ThreadFile route; retain document previews for
intended document types.

in markdownMedia.test.ts accordingly, without changing recognized document or

mobile audio attachments and standalone markdown audio embeds play inline, and video attachments use the existing player. documents become filename chips throughout thread and file markdown. remote images keep their image behavior, source links preserve file navigation and line targets, and workspace csv/tsv opens the table/source viewer. host office and unknown files retain main's source reader; direct document urls use the native viewer.
inline audio, the audio file viewer, shared video players, and ios fullscreen avkit share one audio-session owner. buffering and seeks keep ownership and native auto-resume. explicit pause, playback end, errors, unmount, and recording takeover release it. a small expo-video patch exposes native play/pause intent separately from playingChange, including ios waits that remain readyToPlay; expo-video builds from source so the patch ships. audio takeover and stale player cleanup pause without deactivating the shared ios session through a small expo-audio patch. ordinary release preserves main's global audio gate, recording blocks playback, and stale tokens cannot change the successor's mode.
starting inline audio or video from an attachment or standalone markdown embed aborts any pending transcript file lookup through one shared playback-start callback. the loaded video player also calls it on native playbackRequestedChange intent, covering resume from inline or fullscreen controls before buffering advances the clock. useEffectEvent keeps the callback current without resubscribing and pausing the player on feed renders. the callback fires only when native play intent changes from false to true; repeated true events during buffering, recovery, and seeks preserve file lookups started while video is playing. tracking resets when replacing the source or removing the player. the existing ThreadFeed regression covers all eight initial-play combinations, four user/assistant attachment/embed video resume cases, and four continued-playback cases. the four continued-playback cases reproduced lookup cancellation on 8914378 and pass with this fix; pause, link tap, and native resume still cancel the lookup.
blacksmith passed mobile typecheck, all 91 existing-file playback and preview tests, scoped formatting, and release smoke. scoped lint reports 0 errors and 2 existing warnings. native playback and visual evidence remain unverified; no emulator was started for this pass, and ios is unavailable on this linux host. no new test files or dependencies; this fix changes only mobile code.
