fix(mdx-loader): support <head> metadata in CommonMark files (AI-assisted) - #12736
Part of the CommonMark/MDX feature parity effort (#9092).
With the CommonMark format (.md files), <head> is a raw HTML block. rehype-raw parses raw HTML in body context, where the <head> tag is dropped, so its <title>, <meta> and <script> children ended up in the page body. The static HTML had no custom title or keywords meta, and after hydration React 19 hoisted them, which gave two <title> elements.
The head Remark plugin now also turns a <head>…</head> HTML block into a <Head> JSX element whose child is the inner HTML. rehype-raw passes JSX elements through and parses their raw HTML children in place. <Head> (mapped to @docusaurus/Head in MDXComponents) then receives the same elements as with MDX.
JSON-LD structured data works too. In .md files, the <script type="application/ld+json"> content is plain JSON. In MDX, it stays a {JSON.stringify(...)} expression.
Not supported with the CommonMark format:
<head> blocks containing blank lines: a blank line ends a CommonMark HTML block, so the <head> block is split and not converted.
<html> and <body> tags inside <head>: the HTML parser drops them in body context.
Test Plan
Processor tests render <head> metadata with both formats, and JSON-LD with the md format. The md tests fail on main.
On the CommonMark dogfood page, I added a JSON-LD script and removed two outdated TODO admonitions: SEO, and live code blocks, which already work in CommonMark.
Local website build: the static HTML of /tests/pages/markdown-tests-md has the custom title, the keywords meta and the JSON-LD script in <head>, and none of them in <body>. After hydration, the page has a single <title>.
…sisted)
With the md format, `<head>` is a raw HTML block that rehype-raw parses in
body context, where the `<head>` tag is dropped: its title, meta and script
children ended up in the page body instead of the head.
The head remark plugin now wraps the content of a `<head>` HTML block in a
`<Head>` JSX element, that rehype-raw passes through, like with MDX.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The remark plugin now converts matching raw HTML <head> blocks into Head JSX flow elements and retains JSX head renaming. Processor tests and Markdown examples cover head metadata and JSON-LD structured data.

Add an integration test for CommonMark head metadata.
The processor tests use a substitute Head, so they can pass when the application does not install the metadata. Render a CommonMark head block through the application and check the generated document head.

Preserve <head> blocks across blank lines.
When a CommonMark <head> contains a blank line, CommonMark ends the HTML block before </head>. transformHtmlHead then matches neither fragment, so metadata remains in body content. Accumulate the complete head block before applying the Head conversion.

Recognize attributed head tags.
When a CommonMark <head> has attributes, this expression leaves it unconverted. The static page can then place its metadata in the body instead of the document head. Recognize valid head tags with attributes, capitalization differences, and tag whitespace.
