Create a .snapshots directory containing config.json, readme.md, and sponsors.md. config.json defines default snapshot options and extensive included/excluded file patterns (common build artifacts, binaries, media, lock/db files, etc.). readme.md documents snapshot purpose and usage; sponsors.md adds support and links.
