Issues

• Claim and SPV byte fields encode as integer arrays: about 4 bytes per transaction byte in every consumer

• CI does not pin the inbox contract's code hash, and a doc line can re-key it

freenet/freenet-bitcoin#29 · Filter by author sanity opened on Sep 26, 2026

• SPV proofs are not anchored to the real chain: add a near-mainnet work floor + confirmation depth (and signet signature checks)

• address contract: claim-set pruning drops the lowest as_of first, so later third-party transactions can evict a payment's claims

• bridge: reorg retractions and deep rungs are recorded done before they are published, so a failed publish loses them

• Nothing checks that the bridge binary and the inbox contract WASM agree

freenet/freenet-bitcoin#21 · Filter by author sanity opened on Sep 16, 2026

• An unbounded mainnet tip can pin the signed floor and jam the inbox permanently

• Mutation-test evidence cited in reviews is not in the repository

freenet/freenet-bitcoin#19 · Filter by author sanity opened on Sep 16, 2026

• bridge: three ways the stale-copy gate still lets a watch end against a copy that cannot renew it

• bridge: a payment a reorg moved and a conflicting spend replaced keeps its watch alive for ever

freenet/freenet-bitcoin#16 · Filter by author sanity opened on Sep 15, 2026

• bridge: a scan round does not check that consecutive blocks chain, so it can mix two chains

freenet/freenet-bitcoin#15 · Filter by author sanity opened on Sep 15, 2026

• bridge: the startup rewind can hide a reorg that happened during downtime

freenet/freenet-bitcoin#14 · Filter by author sanity opened on Sep 15, 2026

• bridge: an observer that fails to start is dropped silently and never rebuilt

freenet/freenet-bitcoin#13 · Filter by author sanity opened on Sep 15, 2026

• bridge: claims are marked published before the publish, so a failed retraction is never re-sent

• bridge: a reorg round that fails before scanning skips the replacement blocks and loses its retractions

freenet/freenet-bitcoin#11 · Filter by author sanity opened on Sep 15, 2026
  1

• bridge: an unreadable tip at startup rewinds the scan cursor to genesis

freenet/freenet-bitcoin#9 · Filter by author sanity opened on Sep 11, 2026

• bridge: a checkpoint moved to a height with no recorded block is read as a reorg

• bridge: backfill for newly watched scripts (scan_from_height is not acted on)

• verify-merge does not cover the request inbox contract

freenet/freenet-bitcoin#6 · Filter by author sanity opened on Sep 11, 2026

• bridge: publisher never reconnects if the Freenet node is down at startup

• bridge redeploy silently breaks a published Harvest; consider pointer records
