Updates hono from 4.12.31 to 4.13.7

Release notes

Sourced from hono's releases.

v4.13.7

Security fixes

This release includes a fix for the following security issue:

hono/jsx renders plain strings unescaped in boundary components, leading to XSS

Affects: Suspense, ErrorBoundary, and Context.Provider in hono/jsx, and renderToString() / renderToReadableStream() in hono/jsx/dom/server. Fixes missing HTML escaping for a plain string placed directly as a child or fallback of these components, or as the root value of the server rendering functions, so untrusted strings could be emitted as markup. GHSA-hxh3-vqpv-xpqv

Users who render untrusted strings inside Suspense, ErrorBoundary, or Context.Provider, or pass them directly to hono/jsx/dom/server, are strongly encouraged to upgrade to this version.

v4.13.6

What's Changed

Full Changelog: honojs/hono@v4.13.5...v4.13.6

v4.13.5

Security fixes

This release includes fixes for the following security issues:

Query parser reads parameters after the URL fragment, causing cache-key and proxy interpretation differentials

Affects: Cache Middleware and applications behind a proxy, WAF, or logging layer that inspects query strings. Fixes query parsing that did not stop at the URL fragment, so a ? after a # was treated as the start of a query string and the application could read parameters that the other component never saw. GHSA-crvj-82cr-hjcx

Incomplete fix for CVE-2026-39408: toSSG() still writes files outside the output directory

Affects: toSSG() for Static Site Generation. Fixes a path normalization gap where consecutive parent-directory segments in ssgParams values were not fully collapsed, bypassing the containment check added in 4.12.12. GHSA-gqvv-2mrq-wpjv

Unbounded dot-notation nesting in parseBody() can cause memory exhaustion

Affects: parseBody() when dot-notation parsing is enabled. Fixes unbounded expansion of dot-separated field names, where a small request body could allocate a disproportionately large object graph and concurrent requests could exhaust the heap. GHSA-g6gw-c38x-mqfc

Users who use Cache Middleware, deploy behind a proxy or WAF that inspects query strings, use Static Site Generation, or use parseBody({ dot: true }) are strongly encouraged to upgrade to this version.

v4.13.4

What's Changed

  • fix(request): handle params on unmatched requests in honojs/hono#5268
  • fix(jsx/dom): execute previous ref cleanup when ref prop changes on re-render in honojs/hono#5264
  • fix(reg-exp-router): associate wildcard middleware with matching routes in honojs/hono#5266
  • perf(router): share null object creation in honojs/hono#5267

Updates qs from 6.15.2 to 6.16.0

Changelog

Sourced from qs's changelog.

6.16.0

  • [New] stringify: add a depth option to bound recursion depth (default Infinity)
  • [Fix] stringify: serialize Date values when a filter is provided
  • [Fix] parse: enforce arrayLimit on comma groups under []= when throwOnLimitExceeded is set
  • [Fix] parse: flatten a collection appended to an overflowed array (#571)
  • [Fix] utils: isBuffer: do not invoke a non-callable constructor.isBuffer
  • [Fix] stringify: do not let allowEmptyArrays skip cycle detection (or drop own keys) on an empty array with own properties
  • [Fix] stringify: encode dots in a top-level key with a primitive value when encodeDotInKeys is set (#562)
  • [Docs] threat model: clarify stringify deep-nesting DoS is caller-bounded
  • [Docs] clarify arrayLimit is a representation threshold, not an element-count cap
  • [Tests] parse: remove a test that pinned []= comma groups escaping arrayLimit
  • [Tests] stringify: pin current encodeDotInKeys separator-dot behavior
  • [Dev Deps] update @ljharb/eslint-config, eslint
  • [Dev Deps] update eslint, evalmd

Updates undici from 6.27.0 to 6.28.1

Release notes

Sourced from undici's releases.

v6.28.1

⚠️ Security fixes

High severity

  • GHSA-rfgv-xxqx-mfg5: a WebSocket server could select a subprotocol when none was requested, causing an uncaught TypeError that could terminate the process. Undici now rejects the handshake with protocol error 1002. Fixed by 2af0faf8.

Medium severity

  • GHSA-3wwx-pv8p-q78v: a malformed permessage-deflate payload exceeding the configured decompression limit could emit an unhandled zlib error and terminate the process. Undici now destroys the inflater after reaching the limit. Fixed by 07c60d9c.

Low severity

  • GHSA-r53p-7pc4-xj5r: the retry interceptor could concatenate a resumed response with inconsistent framing into downstream output, enabling response splitting or corruption. Undici now validates Content-Range against the original response framing before resuming. Fixed by ce31bc82.

What's Changed

Full Changelog: nodejs/undici@v6.28.0...v6.28.1

v6.28.0

⚠️ Security fixes

  • GHSA-m8rv-5g2x-5cg5: a malicious type property on a duck-typed blob-like HTTP/1.1 request body could inject CRLF sequences into the generated content-type header. Undici now coerces and validates the value before adding it to the request. Fixed by 740a0b7c.
  • GHSA-8xcm-r25x-g524: the retry interceptor could expose a stale Content-Length after resuming a partial response, potentially causing downstream response desynchronization, hangs, or corruption. Undici now rejects partial responses whose Content-Length is inconsistent with Content-Range. Fixed by cba3a52a, with corrected fixtures in 4fd5a0c6.
  • GHSA-v3r7-h72x-cjcm: unsanitized domain and unparsed values passed to setCookie() could inject cookie attributes. Undici now validates cookie domains, paths, and unparsed attributes more strictly. Fixed by af748404.

GHSA-4cwx-7wf7-3272 and GHSA-jr45-8vmc-qm54 affect the cache interceptor in Undici v7 and v8; Undici v6 is not in their affected version ranges.
