Are you interested in accepting contributions to switch the search over to Elasticsearch for searching shards? I do not really like the search results (i.e. searching for github to find shards being able to access the github API). Also I think we can improve scoring and have fast searches, given the fact that the number of search results is pretty small.
If there is interest, I could try to work on this a little bit.
