[None][fix] Count retained snapshots in hybrid cache sizing - #20772
The V2 hybrid cache estimator now includes retained snapshots when it sizes automatic recurrent-state capacity. It deduplicates coincident periodic and from-start boundaries, counts from-end offsets, and includes a branch prompt-end fallback when no other snapshot is estimated. The change preserves the live-state floor and explicit pool-ratio behavior. The fallback warning clarifies that total sequence length is an upper bound for estimating prompt length. Review severity counts are unavailable from the supplied evidence.
QA Engineer Review
The modified unit-test file adds coverage for periodic and explicit snapshot rules, branch snapshots, reserved dummy slots, typical-batch capacity, pool ratios, warning output, and the live-state floor. The test-db CI list references test_v2_hybrid_retains_configured_number_of_conversation_turns; the evidence does not show the newly added tests in the CI or manual-QA lists. Coverage verdict: sufficient for the described sizing behavior. Test execution results were not supplied.
Per-File QA Perspective
tensorrt_llm/_torch/pyexecutor/kv_cache/mamba_cache_manager/mamba_cache_manager_v2.py — Verify automatic sizing for periodic, from-start, from-end, and branch prompt-end snapshots. Also verify boundary deduplication, the live-state floor, explicit pool ratios, and the revised fallback warning.
tests/unittest/_torch/executor/kv_cache/test_mamba_cache_manager.py — Adds tests for snapshot-aware sizing and allocation, typical-batch capacity, pool ratios, warning output, and the live-state floor. The test-db list includes a different test from this file; added tests are not shown in the supplied CI or manual-QA list evidence.
Description
Why?
Automatic hybrid pool sizing omitted periodic snapshots, leaving too little recurrent-state capacity for prefix reuse.
What?
Include periodic snapshots and the branch prompt-end fallback, counting coincident boundaries once. Preserve explicit pool ratios and minimum live-state guarantees.

Walkthrough
The V2 typical-request SSM state estimate now accounts for configured snapshot placement. Tests cover state counts, typical-batch sizing, GPU quota floors, pool allocation, and configurable test-manager inputs.
The estimator counts retained states from snapshot placement. Tests cover periodic and explicit offsets, block reuse, and branch snapshots. The fallback warning describes total sequence length as an upper bound for prompt length.
The snapshot-sizing boundary is corrected. Before merging, rerun the pinned formatting hook: its previous failure has not been verified as fixed.

* Why?
Automatic hybrid pool sizing omitted periodic snapshots, leaving too
little recurrent-state capacity for prefix reuse. Estimated prompt
lengths also cannot reliably predict overlaps with from-end snapshots.
* What?
Include periodic snapshots and the branch prompt-end fallback.
Deduplicate from-start and periodic boundaries, but count each unique
from-end offset separately, including offsets beyond the estimated
length. Preserve explicit pool ratios and minimum live-state
guarantees.
