Software engineer · Legacy modernization and web products
I'm based in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I spent eight years building and supporting manufacturing ERP software. COBOL and VB.NET are my strongest production languages. My production background also includes SQL and C#/.NET integration work.
That work taught me to understand existing business behavior before changing it, investigate production problems carefully, and leave useful tools and documentation for developers, QA, and Support. My recent web projects use TypeScript, React, Next.js, and PostgreSQL.
| Project | What to explore |
|---|---|
| M-Local | A team-built prototype connecting Ann Arbor students with time-limited restaurant offers. I contributed UI and QR redemption workflows on the four-person hackathon team. Team attribution and scope. |
| Portfolio | My Next.js site with interactive browser tools, Supabase authentication, and a contact flow. Visit the site. |
| Fogshot | A physics-siege game built with Jac, Phaser, and Pymunk: scout hidden terrain, remember brief reveals, and bring down an outpost. Local play is documented; a hosted release still needs verification. |
| Alembic | A TypeScript and Three.js falling-sand simulation. Paint materials, add heat, and watch the world react. Play in your browser. |
| LoopedIn | A family app for shared plans, RSVPs, event conversations, and private photos, built with React Native Web and Supabase. Open the working beta. |
For setup, engineering choices, and project scope, start with each repository's README.
- Whole Page Capture saves a full webpage as one PNG in Chrome or Edge. The repository includes an installable release and a plain-language explanation of permissions and limits.
- AI Usage Overlays brings usage signals from several AI tools into one Windows tray app. Each provider adapter works independently.
- Mission Control is a local dashboard for Claude Code sessions, approval requests, and decision records.
- Start with a useful outcome and a small piece I can finish.
- Test failure paths as well as the happy path, and document the tradeoffs.
- Use AI to help build and investigate, with checks and human review before calling the work done.
The Conductor explores coordinating coding agents. harness-core explores configurable validation and iteration loops; its built-in code checks are heuristics, not a replacement for a compiler or test suite.
