The Clarity AI partner nodes gained a video upscaler next to the existing image upscaler (Comfy-Org/ComfyUI#17192, ClarityCrystalVideoUpscaleNode in comfy_api_nodes/nodes_clarityai.py), and the matching template api_clarity_ai_crystal_video_upscale shipped in Comfy-Org/workflow_templates#1364.

This adds a tutorial page for the new node and registers it in a new Clarity AI group under the partner-node Video navigation, in all four languages.

Facts taken from source:

  • node ClarityCrystalVideoUpscaleNode, display name Clarity AI Crystal Video Upscale, model option crystal-video-upscaler, single scale_factor control (1.0 to 200.0, default 2.0)
  • output caps: 9 megapixels per frame, 360 megapixel-seconds per clip, 5120 pixels per side; the factor is lowered automatically to fit
  • clips above 30 fps bill 2x, above 60 fps 3x, and each additional 30 fps band adds another multiple
  • the template is local-only (includeOnDistributions: ["local"]), so the Cloud card stays commented out until it is available in Comfy Cloud

Preview uses templates/api_clarity_ai_crystal_video_upscale-1.webp (the output mp4 is not in workflow_templates yet); input sample input/desert_highway_encounter.mp4 verified 200. The credit row for this node is in #2027.

Priority: ⬇️ Low

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to 26c31

The new tutorial and pricing docs are mergeable. Before or soon after merge, fix the Korean and Chinese titles, state that the frame-rate multiplier keeps increasing above 60 fps, and move the video tutorial into Video navigation so readers can find it.

Architecture risk: 🔵 Low · up to 26c31

Checked against ClarityCrystalVideoUpscaleNode.execute in comfy_api_nodes/nodes_clarityai.py. One accuracy issue needs a fix, in all four languages:

The page says oversized or long clips "come back upscaled by less than the factor you asked for instead of failing" and that scale_factor is "Lowered automatically when the result would pass the frame or clip limit". The node raises an error on the source clip before upload:

  • source frame over 9 MP → ValueError("... at most 9 megapixels per frame are supported ...")
  • source duration over 360_000_000 / (w * h * ceil(fps / 30)) seconds → ValueError("... can be at most N seconds long ...")

The only automatic reduction is scale_factor = min(scale_factor, floor(5120 / max(w, h) * 100) / 100), which keeps the longest output side at 5120 px or less. The tooltip's "large or long videos are upscaled by less" may describe what the provider does with the output, but inputs over those limits are rejected client-side.

Suggested wording for Limits (EN):

  • The source clip must be at most 5120 px on each side and at most 9 MP per frame. Its maximum length is 360 megapixel-seconds divided by the frame pixels and by ceil(fps / 30); for example, about 173 s for 1080p at 30 fps. Longer or larger clips are rejected.
  • scale_factor is capped so the longest output side stays at or below 5120 px.

The intro paragraph and the "Graceful limits" bullet need the same correction. Everything else (single model option, 1.0 to 200.0 default 2.0, fps-based billing multiplier, URLs) checks out.
