  • Implement a chrome extension. The use of go/lynx in the browser are predicated on a DNS search domain being configured properly to redirect to the appropriate server. There are many situations in which a DNS search domain may not be the most appropriate solution, especially in modern corporate environments where being on the VPN in not a guarantee. The most reliably fashion to handle the situation of resolving go/lynx when not on a DNS search domain is to intercept the request in the browser. Chrome is the most popular browser, with Safari and Firefox a ways behind. Edge supports Chrome extensions, so supplying a Chrome extension to start makes the most sense, with effort to port to the two other most popular browsers to follow. Recommended features for version 1 of the extension [ ] A configurable go/lynx server address to use [ ] Redirect go/ links to the configured server address Extended features (for future versions) [ ] OmniBar autocomplete suggested links [ ] Highlight when a link is found for the page you're looking at [ ] Allow creation of new links from the plugin interface [ ] Find go/links on the browser page and make them clickable?
