[Bug - Edge Addons] Unable to download any extensions - An error has occurred Download interrupted

Describe the bug
Attempts to download any extension from the Edge extension store fail with the error An error has occurred. Download interrupted. This happens on different devices on different Edge profiles and on different networks - it appears to be wide spread. I first noticed this issue around 10 AM PDT on July 23, 2026.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Try to download any extension from the Edge extension store.

Expected behavior
It should download and install. It does not.

• OS: Windows 11 25H2 26200.8893
• Browser: Microsoft Edge
• Version: 150.0.4078.83 (Official build) (64-bit)

Additional context
There are reports of some Microsoft service outages though I haven't seen anything calling out the Edge extension store specifically.

Hi @sihgneg, could you please provide the name of the extension(s) where you are encountering the "Download Interrupted" error, along with relevant screenshots of the error and a HAR file capture? This information will help us investigate the issue from our end and work towards identifying and resolving the problem. Thank you.

This was happening for all extensions previously however it appears to have been related to the Microsoft services outages yesterday. The issue now appears to be resolved as I'm no longer experiencing these issues.
