Terms of Service

Last Updated: August 1, 2026

Welcome to Musicify! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Musicify Discord bot and related services (the "Service"), provided by Musicify ("we," "us," or "our").

By inviting, accessing, or using Musicify in your Discord server, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

  1. Eligibility: You must meet the minimum age required by Discord's Terms of Service to use Musicify.
  2. Acceptable Use: You agree not to use Musicify to stream, broadcast, or share content that is illegal, defamatory, abusive, or otherwise violates Discord's Community Guidelines.
  3. Availability: We strive to keep Musicify online, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be taken offline for maintenance or updates without prior notice.
  4. Third-Party Platforms: Musicify resolves and plays audio from third-party platforms such as Spotify, SoundCloud, Deezer, Apple Music, Tidal, Qobuz, and JioSaavn. YouTube links are not currently supported. Your access to content may be subject to the terms of those respective platforms.
  5. Server Administration: Server owners and administrators who enable features such as ChatPlay or 24/7 mode are responsible for configuring channels, permissions, and usage in line with Discord's rules and their own community standards.

2. User Content and Data

  1. Commands: When you use slash commands or buttons, Musicify processes those interactions to provide the Service.
  2. ChatPlay: In servers where ChatPlay is enabled by an administrator, Musicify reads message content in the designated channel to detect song requests. Message content is not stored persistently. See our Privacy Policy for details.
  3. Server Information: Musicify accesses server and channel information necessary to function (for example, voice channel membership, permissions, and configured ChatPlay channels).
  4. Privacy: Our data collection, storage, and retention practices are described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Intellectual Property

Musicify is an open-source project. The source code is available on GitHub at codebymitch/Musicify. You may view, fork, and modify the code in accordance with its open-source license. The Musicify branding, logos, and custom assets remain the property of Musicify.

4. Self-Hosting

You may run your own instance of Musicify. If you self-host, you are responsible for your infrastructure, configuration, compliance with Discord's Developer Terms, and any data stored on your systems.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Musicify shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your use or inability to use the Service; (b) any unauthorized access to or use of systems hosting the Service and/or any information stored therein; or (c) content accessed through third-party audio platforms.

6. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

7. Contact Us
