According the backtrace shown below, the segmentation fault happened somewhere in the transaction management (when creating a new system transaction). I couldn't figure out the exact source of the problem (writing in the transaction control block?) so I reverted the usage of a separate worker_thread_t for the evictioner back to the use of the base_worker_t that encountered the page fault.
