Trying to configure the Warnings shown for Python, linter + Pep8

I am using the python plugin, and I get tons of warnings generated by linter code formatting, such as "line is too long", "too many spaces" etc. In theory, I go to Tools-> Option, select the language (Python), and then somehow configure the formatter to either ignore certain errors, or show the errors when a larger number occurs, for example when the line is > 140, instead of line is >80. I cannot currently do that.
