UX - opening the "favorites" section requires to use two hands

This issue is mostly a reminder to myself to do something about it if I find time ¯_(ツ)_/¯

When opening the app, you require the use of your left hand to click on the burger menu (which open sthe sidemenu) and click on your "favorite" item.
It would be faster and more ergonomic if there would be e.g. a "favorites" button in the bottom right of the screen, accessible via the right hand's thumb.

I think adding a floating action button (FAB) to the bottom right of the screen would be a good idea

Specifically the example in "persistent action tooltips".

I'm imagining something similar to the " persistent action tooltips" example, with the stop names followed by the buses' icons, maybe with max 3-4 favorite elements.

Or maybe its easier to just change the front page to include the favorites, so that the flow becomes an instant 2-click action, i.e. "open the app -> click"

I would argue that the FAB is meant for actions, not for opening the drawer menu or for quick links to favorite places. But yeah it would indeed be cool to have a start page that includes history and favorites, instead of having them hidden away in the drawer. Maybe even a "Resume where you left off" button that restores the navigation backstack from the last time the app was closed (no maybe this is overkill).
