Arguments mixed up / gone missing after restarting Visual Studio

I've been using this extension for a few years without any problems, so maybe some recent changes introduced this problem for me.

I create 4 separate command line parameters in 4 lines, but when I restart Visual Studio, I get various folders added per configuration, and the 4 separate arguments are merged into one line.

I'm getting this too, but I haven't pinpointed when it happens.
E.g, yesterday it was fine, and today when opening Visual Studio, entries got merged under configuration folders.

Actually, on closer inspection, I can see that it didn't merge my arguments. What it did was show my latest selected arguments.
And since the folders are Configuration and Debugger names, what I suspect is happening is it is showing some of the extension's internal details. As-in, it's showing what final command line to use per configuration/debugger type. This is just a guess, since I haven't looked at the source code.

I can see that my .args.json file got messed up too (I lost all my argument lists), so it's not just a visual problem. :(

Sorry for not responding @zedmilner. Does the problem still persist for you in v3.3?

And in your case @ruifig. I am sorry that you lost your data. Could you please provide a bit more information or provide a minimal working example or reproduction steps with version numbers?
