Context

MiniPay partnership conversations surfaced the need for hard data showing GoodDollar's value to MiniPay's ecosystem. The initiative is driven by Hadar and Meri on the business side; the data team provides the quantitative ammunition for the proposal.

All MiniPay activity happens on Celo, and GoodDollar's faucet subsidizes gas for verified users so they can claim and transact without holding a gas token -- a direct contribution to MiniPay's user activation and retention.

Goal

Deliver dashboards and data artifacts that quantify GoodDollar's contribution to MiniPay, supporting partnership proposals and negotiation conversations.

Scope

• Celo ecosystem impact dashboard (v1) -- shipped Jul 8
• Reframe dashboard for MiniPay perspective
• Nigeria VPN user segmentation (Norway/Netherlands aggregation)

Current Status

Celo-framed dashboard delivered with headline numbers (2.51% of Celo tx volume, 21.4M faucet topups, 1.05M wallets). Meri flagged that MiniPay stakeholders need the data framed from MiniPay's perspective, not Celo's -- reframe in progress.

Value

Direct support for a high-stakes partnership conversation. Hard numbers that translate to "GoodDollar is worth keeping in MiniPay's ecosystem."

MiniPay user identification gap confirmed: Amplitude cannot currently distinguish MiniPay users from regular GoodWallet users. MiniPay's WebView reports as Chrome Mobile to the Amplitude SDK, masking the Opera wrapper that GA uses for filtering.

Fix identified: instrument window.ethereum.isMiniPay check on app load, send as user property (e.g. gp:wallet_type: minipay | goodwallet). One-time code change, unlocks reliable MiniPay segmentation across all Amplitude charts.

Next: raise with Hadar for implementation. Once live, rebuild MiniPay dashboard on reliable Amplitude data + onchain cross-reference.
