Description:
When following the README.md instructions to connect the MCP Inspector to the API Management SSE endpoint, the Inspector connection fails because Unauthorized from MCP server.
Repro Steps:
Run azd auth login.
Run azd init -t Azure-Samples/remote-mcp-apim-functions-python.
Run azd up.
Run npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector.
Open the MCP Inspector web app ->Set the transport type to SSE -> Set the url to https://.azure-api.net/mcp/sse -> Click Connect
Expected behavior:
Connect to Azure function app from a client successfully.
