Hi, I now need to work on an external monitor via HDMI, as my laptop's screen is nice but small.
I ran into a problem where I wanted to disconnect the monitor and work exclusively on the external one, but I had to install Kanshi and configure it.
I suggest implementing a projection widget for this situation, similar to how Windows does it. I couldn't find a viable alternative for this task, so I created this issue.

By the way, first I manually disabled my laptop monitor using the monitor=eDP-1, disable construct, which resulted in an Ax-Shell crash, after which I had to launch it manually.
Is there anything I can do about this?

Hi, this seems like a great idea and something really straight-forward to implement. Though I only have one monitor and I've been using Sunshine to use a tablet as a second one, but it crashes a lot.

Thank you @Axenide, I'm familiar with this section.

It's not just about mirroring, but also about screen management: screen position, turning it on/off, and lid state (if it's a laptop).
Kanshi for more flexible screen configuration, such as disabling a laptop's built-in screen when connected via HDMI.

Thank you for clarifying, I was already thinking of a simple button that could allow for quick mirroring, haha.

I'll figure it out, though I feel more comfortable implementing this in the Quickshell reimplementation I'm working on.
