[BUG] - Microsoft Store error 0x80073CF9 prevents Gaming Services updates

Description

Issue:

After installing AtlasOS, Microsoft Store updates fail with error 0x80073CF9.

Gaming Services cannot be installed or updated, and several other Microsoft Store components also fail to update.

This severely affects the gaming experience because Xbox-related games and features cannot work properly.

Please investigate whether AtlasOS disables or removes any required Microsoft Store, AppX, or Gaming Services dependencies.

Steps to reproduce

Open Microsoft Store.
Visit Gaming Services.
Click Update or Install.
The update fails with error 0x80073CF9.

Expected behavior

Gaming Services and other Microsoft Store components should install and update successfully without error 0x80073CF9

Actual behavior

The update fails with error 0x80073CF9, and Gaming Services cannot be installed or updated.

Issue

Microsoft Store updates fail with 0x80073CF9. Multiple AppX packages are affected:

• Microsoft.GamingServices
• Windows Calculator
• Cross Device Experience
• Microsoft.UI.Xaml 2.8

Relevant Errors

0x80073CF9 - AppX deployment failed
0x80070490 - Element/state entry not found
0x80070002 - Package file or directory not found

Gaming Services deployment also shows:

Neutral package folder move: 0x0
x64 package folder move: 0x80070002
Event 605: Evaluated state handler failed

Service Status

AppXSvc          Stopped  Automatic

The service configuration appears normal.

Troubleshooting Tried

• wsreset -i
• DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
• sfc /scannow
• Reboot

The issue still persists.

Analysis

This appears to be a system-wide AppX repository inconsistency, where AppRepository records no longer match the actual package files under C:\Program Files\WindowsApps. It is not limited to Gaming Services.
